Some burdens are too heavy to carry alone.
Nelson offers a safe, unhurried space to talk, to make sense of what you're facing, and to find a way forward.

People come to Nelson with many kinds of struggle. Some live with anxiety, panic attacks or social anxiety that shrinks their world. Others carry depression, a heaviness that makes ordinary days hard. Many come after a loss, when grief doesn’t ease the way they expected. Some still feel the effects of a frightening or painful experience long after it ended. Others want help with phobias, compulsive habits, or the strain of parenting.
Some come after a marriage has ended. Separation and divorce bring a grief of their own: the loss of a partner, often a home, and the future you had planned. Anger, guilt, relief and sorrow can arrive in the same day. Nelson helps you make sense of what happened, grieve what you’ve lost, and rebuild a sense of who you are now. If you have children, he can help you co-parent with less conflict. For Christians, divorce can also raise painful questions about faith and belonging in church, and Nelson meets those questions with care rather than judgement.
You don’t need a name for what you’re feeling before you come. Many people start simply because something feels wrong and they want to understand it.
Every person is different, so Nelson shapes the work around you. Sessions begin with conversation. He listens carefully, helps you understand what’s happening, and agrees clear goals with you. He focuses on your strengths as well as your struggles, and gives you practical tools to use between sessions.
For trauma and painful memories, Nelson uses two effective methods: Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) and Brain-Switch 2.0. He has used both methods successfully with many clients who carry trauma.
He is also a certified clinical hypnotherapist. Hypnotherapy uses guided, focused relaxation to work with habits, fears and anxiety, and you stay aware and in control throughout.
What if I don't know what's wrong?
That's fine. Many people start without clear words for what they feel.
Finding those words is part of the work.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you're facing and what you want to change. Nelson will review progress with you regularly, so you always know where things stand.
Can I have sessions on Zoom?
Yes. Sessions take place in person or on Zoom. For Zoom, you'll need a private space where you can speak freely.
